Nintendo Switch Online subscribers are in for a treat, especially those who are fans of The Legend of Zelda series. Nintendo has just announced a fresh wave of game-specific icons that subscribers can use as profile pictures within the online service. These icons are themed after characters from Tears of the Kingdom, offering players a chance to personalize their profiles with their favorite characters. While three icons are currently available, more will be added over the next few weeks. This isn’t the first time Nintendo has offered such icons – they’ve done this for various games in the past, including previous Zelda titles. Around the launch of Tears of the Kingdom, Nintendo introduced icons featuring Link, Ganondorf, and other characters, though this time, the focus is more on the supporting characters from the game.

The new icons encompass a range of characters, from Zelda and Ganondorf to Riju, Yona, and Yunobo. To grab these icons, players can head to the “Missions & Rewards” section of the Nintendo Switch Online app and select their desired icon. As per Nintendo’s graphic, the first three icons are available now, with more to be released in the upcoming weeks. While fans await potential Tears of the Kingdom DLC, the game continues to perform well, with Nintendo recently sharing impressive sales figures. Moreover, the Nintendo Switch Online service has expanded its classic Zelda game library, offering more options for those eager to delve into the franchise. Whether you’re a loyal Zelda follower or simply looking to personalize your profile, these new icons provide an exciting addition to the Nintendo Switch Online experience.

I’m honestly surprises most of the games that get reward stickers don’t get an nso trial they did it before with a few of its older first party games I have no idea why the rotation mainly consist only indie and third party games now.

Im fairly new on The Switch and im not sure why when icons become available for nso members there only available for a limited time. Not sure why the user icons aren’t available all the time.
